Boris in Zagreb on 21.07.2010. great band from Japan, great show. sadly, this development was with last drops of Rodinal I had in my stash.

just a quick question guys and gals: is R09 any good? can it substitute the "real thing"?
1) Really good concert shots you got, and looks to be an interesting band too.

2) I don't have personal experience, but people I know who know seem to like R09 fine as a substitute. (Why does 'I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth...' come to mind )

I figure I'll do a mini presentation of New Portra 400 - I may have posted some of these before. The film has decent grain for 400 and it tends to a slightly cool, purple direction... where the current ColorPlus 200 tends to see things a bit yellow. All in all a bit livelier than the old NC, with its slightly cool take on things, and a bit toned down from VC... just as Kodak told us it would be.

First the film:

Taken with either Miranda D / Soligor 50/1.9 or Minolta XE-5 / MD 50/1.7

Because among your many other accomplishments, you're a Who fan <g>.

Best,
Kevin

P. S. I suffer from the same affliction.

P. P. S. Thanks for the Portra expose - I bought a roll last week based on you lily shots. After seeing your other shots, I'm glad I did.

Really like the new portra 400,from first roll ran with Rollei-digibase kit (C-41,BTW)
Rollei kit a bit pricey,I ran it in my jobo.If someone wants to try it inversion style,
never seen a better kit.

Love that ektachrome up there, gotta pint kit & 3 rolls 'toe-in' the line

Portra 400 (new emulsion) per rollei-digibase data sheet,jobo cpe2
LX,M400/5.6
