A postcard snapshot, no more, I know, on a drive my wife and I took last week through the Canadian Rockies -- but I'm really happy with the way the optics of the 35~105mm f/3.5 SMCP-A lens made it come alive, on consumer-grade Fuji 400. Metering by sunny-16 on my batteryless MX:

Asaru: Very nice indeed. Nice colors and composition.

BillM: Another nice one. Have you ever used the Digibase film? I've ordered a couple of rolls of the cr200 slide variety to see how it goes.

Shot my second wedding professionally this past weekend and managed to survive, if not prevail <g>. Wedding and reception shots were all digital, but I met with the bride and groom last week to discuss specific shot requests and arrived early and knocked out a few frames of film. Coincidentally there was a Congregational church in the neighborhood of the reception venue, so I grabbed a few shots of it, although the actual ceremony was not at this church. Lighting is pretty harsh and the day was hotter than bloody blue blazes...

K1000, M50 f1.7, Fuji Reala 100

Next two shots were taken at the actual reception venue which is a converted stable.

K1000, Hoya 135 f2.8, Fuji Reala 100

Thanks for looking,
Kevin

This is from a Pentax PZ-1p with, I think, a DA-L 18-55mm lens (!), which seems to work fine above maybe 25mm or so (otherwise there's serious vignetting, of course...which can be cropped!). This is some old wiring in my house...

It was taken with very expired Kodak Tri-X pan.

Cool shot Piledon, "knob & tube wiring",outside is a sleeve over wire called a "loom"
serves as abrasion protection.Fits right in with Tri-x.

Will do. I was hoping to shoot it in the forest here in the Smoky's because it looks good to me on greens and yellows from the shots I've seen posted. But I busted up my foot and am headed back to Missouri so I'll have to see what I can find at home. Corn fields I guess Mr Eric at Pentaxs CLA'd my old H3v and an MX and ME for me so it will be a good excuse to test them out
Thanx for the heads up on the Humidity dropping ! I wasn't looking forward to Missouri Summertime

When I saw these two fellas just sitting there, I knew I had to have this picture. So I went up to them, did not say a word and click...Only that I had to forgot to advance the film....I said ''awkward'', I advanced the film, took my shot, they gave me the ''What the heck'' look, I said thanks guys and was on my way....8~)

Thanks to everyone for the encouraging comments on my Lake Louise shot. The neat thing about this thread is that everything you post competes against some truly excellent photography. Love the macro and people captures

Here are three others from the same roll that also seemed to come out quite well. A 45% reduction of the scans was the only PP.

Really good quality shots. You either have to sharpen the scan and make curve adjustments in the scanning software or do it afterwards in post if turn sharpening off and scan for maximum tone range where you adjust your curve later. In either case, processing was done.

Wasn't Adam looking for a picture and a review of the Z-5p for the film camera review section? They seem to be pretty uncommon, likely due to a short production run. I have yet to see a Z-5 or Z-5p in person.
