Statement is trip back in time for me,Nesster. Was a 'cub' (apprentice) at a weekly
here.To think back to elements of time and material resourses it took just to
convert one image to 3 color half tone,is something I'll never forget.
Look back on it and am amazed "anything" was ever accomplished.

Spotmatic II SMC-Takumar 55/1,8.

Here are some of my first shots from my Spotmatic II. I didn't have no battery for light metering, so I took a chance with ISO400, f8, 1/500. Lens is SMC-Takumar 55/1,8.

easytiger, your 35mm B&Ws are amazing and now you show up in medium format and in color, looking every bit as good...thanks for sharing.

Best,

Whoa, thanks. But no more color for me for a while. I've got 25 rolls of Acros in the fridge waiting to be developed, from Tibet, France, and Italy.

Ektar 100 - shot at ASA 100 with an ES-II and SMC Tak 35/3.5... the color cast issue that makes this my not favorite film illustrated. On the first sample, I corrected for the cast in the fog; on the second it's more or less how CVS scanned the film.

I've never had that colour cast problem. I wonder if my lab is just more careful with the printing/scanning of the film? Ektar 100 is pretty much the only 35mm colour film I use now. I vary things a bit more with 120 roll film.

Great photos everyone!

I finally have some photos to contribute to the thread

Here I am in Paso Robles...an upscale winery town in California with over 200 Vintners in the surrounding area.(supposedly more than Napa) After watching Amtrack roll by I move in for a photo of the tracks.

Shot on Fujichrome Provia 400X as the first roll through my Spotmatic(and to try out the film) Images one and three are also posted in the Bokeh club thread.

All images are from scanned slides and edited in Lr 3.41

Firestone Double Barrel Ale is amazingly good....if you ever get the chance try some - do it.
Brewed in Paso Robles of all places....Here it is pictured at Gino's Pizza. (Across the street from Pea Soup Andersens just of highway 101)

and here is the lens that came with my Spotmatic...an excellent condition super tak 50 1.4. (image made with my $1.00 Auto Tak 55 1.8 - wide open.
