I agree, that shot that Fearview quoted is lovely. The saturation of the Velvia really works nicely there and it's composed nicely.

A couple of recent shots on a film I hadn't tried before: Rollei ATP 1.1 32 ISO B&W. The white washed out pretty badly on most of my shots, probably some rookie mistake I'm making, but a couple worked nicely, in my opinion. All shot on the K1000 with Pentax-M 50mm f/1.7:

wow, those are great pictures, especially the last one, I really like the composition and the building reflections in the water! I have to push the Ilford 50 I sometimes shoot with since the K1000 doesn't have a setting for 50. well, I should say I have it pushed, as I don't process my own film yet. :0)

The 50 ISO setting on the K1000 or any film body, is the first dot under the 64 mark:

Your shots look good, very nice! If you want more contrast in the clouds/sky use a yellow, orange, red or polarizer filter. They will make the sky darker and the white clouds pop! You can use a linear polarizer on your K1000, which is way cheaper than a CPL.

gofour3 - ahh! I never knew that. I just went by the numbers, haha. thank you! and I have been meaning to buy a few 49mm filters for my M 50. Polarizer is on the list, I will try and grab some others you mentioned as well. thank you for the advice, I'll take any I can get! I'll look iunto a linear polarizer as well. not sure what that is but I'm sure google will help me. :0) thanks again!

Here is a link to B&H Photo, showing 49mm B+W brand linear polarizers. (I like B+W brand filters, but Hoya and others are also very good)

Polarizing

The MRC filters are multicoated which is preferred, but they will cost more. The Kaeseman one is a special high end version.

Bill, I rarely see results from the 200 ektachrome. I'm really liking it, Nice little hint of grain and really nice colors. is it easy to nail the exposure like you've done with these ?

Used my DSLR to cheat Erkie,great meter,that K20

Heres one Im not talk'n bout...Double exposure on Ektachrome 200
One advantage of DSLR...sensor registration,never a problem

Under 8x loupe,doesnt seem to be a big difference between 100,200 ektachrome.
Can see diff' when scanned at max res on V500 and pixle peek'd.Feel that 200
with bit more speed gives a little 'sqeak by' room,kind of favor it.
Hard choice to make between E100G and Fugi 50,
but again,little extra speed and its benefits kinda pushes me towards E100G.
Hard choice though,that fugi is some great stuff.

HA HA Yep That's what I use my little Kx for mostly too. Has a pretty decent spotmeter ! I like a little grain in most photos. I DO NOT like digital noise. My Kx is pretty fair in that department but needs a little post production help past iso400. That 200 slide film looks like it would be nice in a lot of situations. I'm burning through some portra 160 right now but when it's gone I think I may give that 200 a try. I finished up some digibase 200 slide film a week ago I just need to get it scanned. but all I have is a flatbed in my RV. It has some obvious grain and an unusual color palette but it has kind of grown on me. Although when I underexposed a tad as I do with velveta the grain gets a bit out of hand.

Anybody - I'm scanning mine with an Epson 4490, and on this last round of black and white, I noticed the black spots scan in really ugly with sharp edges. I'm scanning the film at 3200 dpi, any ideas on how I can fix that issue? example:

latitude of portra and on the other,saturation and color of ektachrome.
Gotta flip a coin to call that one.With ektachrome, did double check myself by taking
reflected metering off of gray card at subject,found myself speeding shutter
up a half-stop in most cases.Did seem to saturate at expense of some dark shadows.
