From the test roll with the S1a - three frames had shutter capping, but others were fine, and no light leaks etc. Not bad for an old guy.

after a whole hour of playing, the ice didn't brake ... we were a bit disapointed we wanted to much the mess to happened !!!

Well, 18mm on film is soooooo wide 90° horizontally. And the lens doesn't produce so much distortion

I just had my first roll of Ektar 100 developed and scanned today at Wal-Mart. Not sure if it's the film, but I think my results are improving, if ever so slightly. Here's the best of them...

@Swift1 Nice picture. I've heard lot of bad things about FA-J series, but the 18-35 is quite good, even at full aperture. At least it seams so.

Ya, the FA-J lenses don't get a whole lot of respect generally, which can mostly be blamed on their cheap build, plastic mount, and slow apertures. They can be decent optically though. I think the 18-35mm may be the best of the lot, especially since it's so wide on film. On digital, I found my copy of the FA-J 18-35mm to be slightly better than my copy of the DA 18-55 AL II. I used to own a Sigma 17-35 2.8-4 in Alpha mount and I think overall it is a better lens than the 18-35mm but I couldn't find a K mount version so I got the FA-J instead.

Here a few more from the same roll, both at 18mm. I did a B&W conversion on the one cause the lighting was terrible and so the colors were very drab.

Yeah, I see that now. I think his body is in focus, but his head not so much. Thanks for the feedback. I probably just flat out missed the focus - I don't recall if he was moving around or not. Typically, it's difficult to get a shot like this - usually when the goats see me coming they rush to the fence 'cause they think they are getting fed. I just happened to catch this one at a disinterested moment.

is anyone down/game for a film swap? i am currently living in south korea and i shot a roll of Kodak Colorplus 200 exposed at 400. who wants to put some "non korean" images overtop of mine and see what kind of funky results we get? I love the idea of a film swap and i would prefer to swap with somewho who is going to take very "non korean" images to contrast with mine. any takers??? send me a P.M. and maybe our photographic forces can combine to create some strange images.... can i can a "heck yes?"

Took my Pentax MZ-60 to the show just loaded with Fuji Superia 400.

First one is original, second is me fiddling with editing it a little. I've never really done photo editing before (gosh it's fun) and I like the way this one turned out because it reminds me of a cheaply printed postcard.
