Some “early” work from the summer of 1972, during my first trip to Europe. It's hard to believe I shot these 40 years ago.

Kodak Instamatic and Kodachrome 64

Well said Jussi.

Here's one of the photos I was taking with the 67 at the time.

Colton, I used to have a Cilica like the one you posted when I lived in Ashland. Bought it new while in college, sold it about a year later to a kid who shipped it to Hawaii.

Phil, those are wonderfully evocative to people our age Though you don't look a day over 24 in your avatar

Instamatic + Kodachrome = great look

That's the beauty of photography Phil - the images don't age like the rest of us.

Just developed a roll from my Spotmatic SP500. Film was Kodak Ultramax 400 and lenses were a Super-Tak 55/2 and a Sears 28/2.8. Thanks for looking.

Thanks guys! Yes the old Kodachrome slides are holding up better than us old folks! Some museum bought slides from that trip have faded badly.

Got back a roll of long-expired Kodak Elite Chrome 100 today. This one with the PZ-1 and FA77:

I like the color effects of the expired film. I was shooting with that camera & lens recently (although this is just Kodak Gold 200):

You are making me want to shoot some more film! I love this subtle grain and the wild colours, but what I usually get from film is a totally different fish food (that's actually funny in my language). I hate it that I don't have a proper film scanner...

Those are great colors, too! Like the shot. I'm hoping to shoot some portraits for my next roll of this old E-6.

I don't have a good scanner either...just the Epson V500. I've been looking at one of those PlusTek things, but can't really justify the expense right now. My scans are crap, but if I do them at 2400 dpi and downsize for the web, they look half decent.

I was less than impressed with my first roll of Ektar. All the shots (under-exposed, correctly exposed and over-exposed regardless) had weird colour balances that I had to try to correct in GIMP, with limited success. The colour saturation wasn't as good as I had expected either. The scans from the place I had it developed were extremely poor too. So I don't know if the problem is me, the development, the scanning or the film.

Below are a few shots, these are the ones that required the least colour correction but I still couldn't get right, except for the last one which I couldn't fix at all so I converted to B&W, and I prefer the shot like that.

Oh come on, you're picky! These are all nice photos, scans pretty decent too. I love the second one.
What camera?
