Me too, though I would be quick to point out that the last one was taken the morning after three days spent tent-bound by bad weather. Our party and another group were stuck on a spur of rock perched high above the South Cascade Glacier due to thick fog and driving mist. That is a long time to spend laying in a tent listening to the wind and rain.

I have almost the same setup. I have a Maxxum XTsi and 35-80mm

This photo is basically the last photo from my brief affair with the Canon EOS system. Not long after this photo, the USM motor on my one and only EF mount lens decided it had done enough work and ceased up

I still had half a roll to shoot but had to rewind it.

Looks sharp with manual focus camera, high contrast scene with E6 film, no live preview and histogram so you must at least also know good exposure principles, film characteristics and technique!

Still, though, the scanning was a pain. The highlights (all that snow) were dead-on correct, but anything even approaching a shadow went to black. The dynamic range simply is not there. As a result, the complex middle tones (say grass or bushes) are absolutely edgy with contrast.

They look much better projected

Thanks Trevor, this one is pretty much straight from the camera/processing lab (minus the removal of a couple pieces of food remnants around her mouth-she is only four years old and we were camping).

How are the film processing machines working out for you?

I shut down my color one for the winter. I will probably start it up again in April for wedding season. I decided not to do the whole lab thing for other people. The wedding photography business has been doing well enough were I don't need the extra income. I started developing my own b&w's about three weeks ago and have really been enjoying that. The thing with the color film processor is I have to keep at least ten rolls through it a week, and winter is going of our down time. So not worth it to keep it up and running. I acquired a Noritsu scanner that runs off of 120v, which is epic because I can keep it at my house. So I have been doing a lot of scanning lately, trying to dial it in. Here is a tiff I scanned off a Mamiya RZ 67 Pro II with some Pro 400H.

I normally would not scan that high res, but just testing it out.
Yup, almost all my pics with kids, they have food on their faces

Thanks. Its a pretty nice little SLR that I have not used in some time because the battery went dead on me. Really like your shot of the trees above.
