doesn't it make the fuss one hears about the latest auto focus lens seem overdone?
Absolutely true. Ditto for people who complain about AF focus accuracy.

Those old mechanical beasts hold their own don't they. Burrard Street Bridge - good one.
Thanks! I live a few minutes from the Burrard Bridge, so it does turn up frequently in my photos!

I too bought that issue and it came with the slide. Looks like my version was in very good shape compared to yours.

Full res scan -> http://www.fototime.com/4412EF7AFD91279/orig.jpg

Unfortunately it is a copy of an original and as careful as they say they did the copying, I am afraid it lost quite a bit in the process.
I don't know how that film's color characteristics under that lighting condition but it looks like it kept it's color quite well I think.
Perfect scan! I know how difficult it can be to get them right.

Lovely clean shots. My four Minoltas are the older SRT series.

The 7000 belonged to a friend of mine and her father recently gave it to me. Every so often there is one completely under-exposed frame. Not sure what is wrong but I may have to get the camera serviced.

K,
I really like this! Perhaps a little tighter crop but I like it fine.

Thank you LesDMess and kerrowdown for your kind words!
I actually lightened up the file a bit because I thought it might appear too dark on uncalibrated monitors.
No doubt we have no control on just how our masterpieces will be viewed whether on smartphones or big screen HDTVs!

I love these two shots. Is that Portra or UltraMax?

These are 400H.
