The photo of "Derek" made me look a few times; parts of that could, I swear, be an oil painting. That's something I hadn't seen before. Thanks!

Thank you!

"Derek" was taken last month on the Atlantic side of Barbados.

I was playing with Tokina 17mm for some time last and this year.. Some films were expired - so not sure which one is which...
Kodak Gold 200, Tokina 17mm, Pentax Z1p

Kodak Gold 200, Tokina 17mm, Pentax Z1p

This one was probably expired (hence colors :P - although they *were* crazy that day, Tokina 17mm, Pentax Z1p

I found Kodak Gold 200 a quite nice consumer quality film, but still capable of good colors and sharpness. Kodak Gold 400 is a bit too grainy to my taste - BUT can produce amazing colors and grain is suitable sometime - so still an option.

Wow, some really great shots everybody! Keep 'em coming!

Well, to start out with, I'll put up some shots I took with a Pentax KX, shooting Kodachrome. These were taken back in December, 1990.

Painted Desert in Arizona. I don't recall the lens I used, probably a SMC 28mm. I'm figuring I overexposed this shot by about a half a stop. Still, I liked it enough to keep it.

A bit further down the road a piece: the Petrified Forest National Park.

The detail in the above slides is very impressive. I've always had a lot of respect for the sharpness of Pentax optics.

Following are a few more I took with a Canon F-1n, and various Canon FD lenses. Fuji Velvia 50.

Old house in Galveston, TX. Canon F-1n with FD 50mm f/1.4 SSC, probably f/5.6 or f/8

The next few shots were taken at a Civil War battle scene reenactment.

Canon F-1n with FD 85mm f/1.2 SSC Aspherical, shot wide open at f/1.2

Canon F-1n with FD 85mm f/1.2 SSC Aspherical, probably about f/4.

Canon F-1n, Canon FD 85mm f/1.2 SSC Aspherical, probably f/5.6 or f/8.

Bronica ETRSi with Zenza 75mm f/2.8, Fujichrome Provia 100, more shots from the Civil War reenactment.

A couple more slides from airshows:

P-51D Mustang at sunset. Canon A-1, Vivitar Series 1 28-90, Kodachrome 64

Grumman (Now McDonnell-Douglas) F/A-18 Hornet, Canon F-1n, Tamron SP 60-300 f/3.8-5.4 @ 300mm, Kodachrome 64:

Marvelous photos everyone. Paricularly love the slides. My contribution is from a roll I put through an old Yashica E14 rangefinder I just bought. I don't have a hood for it's large 1.4 lens, so had to be careful of reflections on that huge glass. Fuji 400 was used
