Here's my 19 month old son experiencing the worst day of his life ever, at least he thinks. LX and 77 on Portra 160. It's almost as if the traumatic experience is worsened by the fact he's watching it unfold in the mirror. The pre-haircut picture isn't film, but shows what his hair looked like before the chop yesterday.

I have stumbled upon a nice restaurant in Jiyuugaoka. The decor was great, full of atmosphere. It seated about 10 people max. The chef's left arm paralysed, but he did an amazing job and the food was delicious!

Few months ago i won a pack of film, including some 20 yrs expired velvia 100. I had no great expectation ...

Raw scan, before digital "improvements". inder or overexposing the film made no improvement at all, more the contrary. those are at 100 iso.

+100 contraste, and -100 black (far better except the dark cut in the middle)

same. On this one, i realise how much the film has weaken in retaining micro contrast : there is suppose to be a texte written in big bold letters with a permanent marker.

I have 3 other rolls in the fridge like this one. I'll have fun playing with it. Maybe cross processing ?

My friends John and Bob recently came into possession of a Mamiya C330 TLR and, to make a long story short, they decided to give it to me.
On Saturday, John and I loaded a roll of Portra 400 in it and then shot half the roll that day, and then finished it yesterday.

This photo is of a tree in a parking lot at night, lit by the overhead street lights.

The film I used is Neopan 400. If you like it, stock up, since it's discontinued. I like it's sharp grain.

I developed it in Fuji Super Prodol which you can only get in Japan and I got few packs while I was there on holidays. In this case I overdeveloped it since I forgot to measure the temp of developer... so I guess it was pushed around to iso800. I really like the way it came out. The only thing that I have changed in LR, which I do for any film I scan, boosted contrast curve and in this case added little bit of clarity to show the grain little bit more.

Price hikes are reality of film, the less film people buy, the more expensive it will get. I prefer price hikes over films being discontinued. At least they tried with Neopan 400, it is a lovely film. I have around 30 rolls of it left and enough Fuji Super Prodol to process all of it.
