I like your car shots. What (and where) type of processing is involved with this film; I am not familiar with it.

The Retinette and Kodachrome did a great job, as did the photographer.
Thank you. The Retinette was all I could afford in 1961 after leaving school, but that little 50mm/f3.5 Schneider triplet served me well. Although the camera had only four speeds, and no light meter or range finder, it was the perfect instrument for learning. It was well made and easy to use. It was stolen in 1968, and I replaced it with a Yashica Lynx 5000. I have since also acquired several Retinette types.

That first one is particularly attractive with a relaxed pose.

It was regular E6 processing. The film was expired and the entire roll had a purple cast.

The film still looks good. I shot a lot of Elitechrome during the ‘00s after using Kodachrome for decades. I then switched to Ektachome about 5 years ago.

Sadly none of these are still in production and I only have about 10 rolls of 120 E100G left in my freezer.

Dang! The color head will work great with VC papers. The vacuum easel is a huge plus.

As for enlargers and space. I already have a 6x7 unit (now sold as Omega LPL 670 MXL for a bit over $2K) that is small enough for closet storage and can be hand carried. I was offered an Omega similar to yours for $150, but it was just too big.

Cheers for that. Yeah, it's one of my all-time favs - don't have much left. 6 or 7 rolls I think, maybe less.

Thx! I've been shooting a lot of cheap films lately but, man, the Portra delivers.

These are very sharp and clear, almost like slide film. Good work.

Just got these back from the store. All taken with Retina 111C, xenon 50/2.0 Kodacolor 200

View from the dining room.

Correction on lens used. It was the Xenon 50mm / f2.0

Since I'm sooo slow at taking new photos, I decided to revisit some earlier results. I shot this image in May with the MX and M150/3.5 lens on Ektar 100.

I had been considering selling the MX. After revisiting that last roll, I'm even more undecided.

cheers,
Fred
