Really like this shot, not sure why but it just works!
Thanks - me too!

Just for reference, this is the same angle on a K24/2.8, SOOC on APS-C digital in comparison… and hence why I like film!

A High Country Morning

I woke up yesterday morning and headed up the canyon to Rocky Mountain National Park. I arrived and set up my camera, then waited for the sun to rise. This is my favorite time to visit the park. The animals are active and the tourists have yet to arrive, so the park is very quiet.

I took some digital images, but these here are taken with my Zone VI 4x5 film camera on Fomapan 200 film, developed in HC110 dilution H.

It was a hazy morning thanks to the previous night's rain, the mountains didn't stand out in sharp relief as is usual.

Here are three images of the negatives I scanned so far.

Very nice. The third one is spectacular.

Just for fun, some APS! I found a couple of old rolls of 200ISO Truprint APS film and ran one through a Fuji Tiara 1010ix. It's a bit expired and grainy but it does sunsets well and there's nothing wrong with an EBC Fujinon prime lens.

No indeed. I had a Minolta Vectis (S1 and compact 300) - fantastic cameras, pity about the format (although it did lead to digital...)

A bit of Wales (2001)
