Spectacular, Arnold. What was your altitude? Being an old groundpounder, it's hard for me to guess.

Thank you. At our weight midpoint, usually 35000 or 37000. Initial altitudes when heavy could be as low as 31000 feet. Here are a few more:

Well, I've taken photos from a passenger window before, but it's pretty obvious that a view from the cockpit is vastly better.

These are the first shots I've posted on the Pentax Forums. I've just gotten back into film with an old heirloom Spotmatic and this PZ-10, which I've had for 20 years or so but haven't used since going digital in '04. I just dug it out of storage and found that it was 5 shots into a roll of Kodak Gold 200. Both of these shots are recent, taken since I found the camera. I have the 35-80 and 100-300 lenses with the camera. Not a great camera or great glass, but fully capable of good image quality if one is aware of their limitations. Both of these were taken in P mode.

Pentax PZ-10, SMC 35-80 f/4-5.6, expired Kodak Gold 200.

Another in the series:

These were taken with the 100-300. I used a CP for the Mt Rainier shot. I'm not sure what the scratches are from, maybe the filter. Dwayne's photo did the processing and scanning and did a great job. This was my first time using them:

Another taken with the 35-80:

Welcome back to shooting with film!

Maybe "not great glass" but it is plenty good enough to provide you with outstanding shots for presentation over the web. Still quite good color and contrast with your expired film, too. Anymore these days, I don't worry much whether my film is expired or not. I've got dozens of rolls of expired film, some of which expired over 20 years ago (but which has been kept frozen for all this time) and I usually still get good results from it. If the color has drifted some, it's usually nothing that one or two mouse clicks won't take care of in post.

Here are some more photos from the BMOA Rally. The first few are dupes from 35mm slides. Not sure what camera or lens I was using -- this was a couple years ago and I didn't leave notes. The film is an old expired roll of Ektachrome 64.

The next group were taken with my Bronica ETRSi with 75mm f/2.8 lens.

And finally, a shot of my old BMW that I rode to the event.

Spain, especially the rural parts, are great for photographing industrial decay. You never have to go far to find an old factory or warehouse or farm that's run down or abandoned.

I manage to win an auction for some 1940's 4X5 chromes of Paris. They were very red and rather than converting them to b&w I kept them au naturel.

Then I remembered I also took a similar shot on Kodak Gold 100 so I cropped the 4X5 to my own shot.

Different cars, busier street and street lamps are different.

Thanks. Fortunately there must be a gazillion shots taken of that scene over the years!

You know, Les, I see some residual yellows and greens in that 4x5 photo. Have you tried at least to do a color correction on it? You might be surprised by what's still there.
