Here are some more photos from the BMOA Rally. The first few are dupes from 35mm slides. Not sure what camera or lens I was using -- this was a couple years ago and I didn't leave notes. The film is an old expired roll of Ektachrome 64.

The next group were taken with my Bronica ETRSi with 75mm f/2.8 lens.

And finally, a shot of my old BMW that I rode to the event.
Awesome bikes in that set. Nice shots.

Welcome back to shooting with film!

Maybe "not great glass" but it is plenty good enough to provide you with outstanding shots for presentation over the web. Still quite good color and contrast with your expired film, too. Anymore these days, I don't worry much whether my film is expired or not. I've got dozens of rolls of expired film, some of which expired over 20 years ago (but which has been kept frozen for all this time) and I usually still get good results from it. If the color has drifted some, it's usually nothing that one or two mouse clicks won't take care of in post.

Thanks guys. I've really been enjoying shooting the film. The Spottie in partciular, really throws me back to the basics of photography. Lots of fun.

You know, Les, I see some residual yellows and greens in that 4x5 photo. Have you tried at least to do a color correction on it? You might be surprised by what's still there.
There are no surprises as it was strictly a personal preference. It looks older . . .

Very nice. A few more houses around there now.
I had the pleasure of being a passenger into YVR mid last year (having just flown out of a very soggy Calgary) at a similar time of day, and the mountains and the sea take a fair bit of beating!

Thank you, it's nice to see appreciation for forgotten old slides that have been brought into the light.

Lovely colour tones there, and nice balance of composition.

Well, I've been paging through some old slides up at my website, and I've run across some I don't believe I've posted here before. So here goes. The first of the following photos were taken at airshows I attended in Southern California back in the late 1980s up to and including the early 1990s.

F/A-18 flyby, standing on its wingtips. Canon F-1, Tamron SP 60-300mm f/3..8-5.4, Kodachrome 64

P-51D, "Mangia Pane ('eats bread') owned by "Tiger" Bill Destefani of Bakersfield, CA. Yashica Mat 124G, Tri-X 400.

P-38 Lighning. Nikon F3, Tamron 300mm f/2.8 LDIF, Fujichrome 100.

Beach rocks -- Ventura, California. Canon F-1, Vivitar Series 1 28-90mm f/2.8-3.5, Kodachrome 64.

Caboose at pocket park, Katy, Texas. Nikon F2, Nikkor 24mm f/2.8, Ektar 100.

Koi Pond. Zeiss Super Ikonta BX, Fujichrome 120

My much missed Pentax LX with motor drive attached to a Celestron C-8 configured as a spotting scope (1600mm f/8)

I really like the one of the FA-18!

Any chance you might want to share the two planes-in-flight shots to this thread?
