This is another good observation. Tell me, have you ever thought about teaching a class in photography? I'll bet you'd be good at it.
I've thought about it a bit. It would be quite difficult for me though

Colton - have you thought about putting a book together to raise money for ALS research? You've definitely got the body of work for it in my opinion.

On a less serious note, I purchased a roll of LomoChrome XR Purple a couple months ago and have been saving it for spring to see what happens with it on a nice sunny and green day. The results were... interesting. Shot with Pentax ZX-7 and DA 40mm Limited.

ISO 200, bright morning sun

ISO 200, on board flash, under white sodium(?) lights.

And my favorite little model Oliver

Some expired Kodak super 200 that was manufactured in 1995. I found it at a thrift store.

Ben, did you expose that shot according to your camera's meter? It looks way underexposed. If you used the camera's meter, then reducing the ISO by a couple of stops would probably cure this problem.

Skierd, that film is interesting. I like the colors of those birch tree trunks . . . they are birch, aren't they? And your second shot under those lights came out with almost a daylight balance look to it.

I have thought about putting together a book, but not specifically for the purpose of raising money for ALS research. It sounds like a great idea though

What do you think of Lomochrome?

Pretty sure he can't take pics as good as yours, though!

This was taken just to see what kind of bokeh the Tri-Lauser triplet could produce. Shot wide open at minimum focus distance.

Thanks for the tip. This was my first experience with expired film. I shot two rolls but still have one left, but now I know what to expect. Under is still better than over I guess. Everything looked blue, I wonder what some different filters would do? I don't have much experience with filters either. Any suggestions? or just go with what I got?

Yup those are birch trees.

The way some of the other shots in addition to the brewery ones make me think that this film is basically a tungsten balanced film of unknown speed on a green film stock instead of orange. Not sure if that's all of the changes as I'm assuming there's changes to the color layers too. Some of the shots have a 'day for night' look to them plus the indoor shots looking almost normal makes me think that might be the case.
Here's the link to album

In any case it is a very light hungry film. Though it's rated for 100-400iso, the 400 shots look drab and don't pop. The 200 shots are ok usually but can get crazy. The 100 shots are my favorites generally, very surreal.

With color negative film, overexposure is much better than underexposure.
I would probably shoot that film at iso 50.
