Like the detail on the ship. Saw an old 6x7, with lenses, for sale at a swap meet, but I knew too little about these to assess it. Still, my Franka Rolfix does a pretty good job as my biggest format (6x9).

I must confess I hadn't seen one of those before. Looks quite interesting.

Also to confess, that you all have me looking at film cameras again (compact 35's). I might have to pick up that Contax TVS I never got in 2004...

I think I will grab my wife's Minolta SRT-101 and the 100mm F3.5 and put a roll of Ektar in it - just for fun.

Just want to say, GREAT SHOTS everyone. This thread brings me so much joy to just scroll through and see so many excellent film images.

I've been on a bit of a non-Pentax kick with a Minolta a-7 (the rear display has won my heart) and Canon EOS 7 (silent, eye-controlled AF is a treat) lately. All of these are from the EOS 7 with EF 28-105 II USM MIJ attached. I guess the Made in Japan Mark 2 is somewhat uncommon in Canonland, it's my only EF glass.

Thanks Arnold. The P6x7 handles just like a 35mm SLR, but of course is much bigger. Very easy to use and the lenses are not priced too high on the used market.

Very nice and a nice color balance. Tripod used? or 1/500 sec in hand (doubtful...)?
Thanks! Yes you need a big tripod (I use a Manfrotto 028B Triman) for the Takumar 600/4 lens as it weights 6kg, I also use secondary support for the camera end. Most of the shots were around 1/125 and with MLU. (I used some exposure compensation as I was shooting towards the sun) .

This is not a film shot, but it is of a couple of my new (to me) film cameras.

Just got a new camera, an Olympus XA. These are the smallest 35mm cameras ever made, easily slips in a front pocket. I won it for $16.00 in excellent condition. They usually go for around $100.00.

They are a collectors item for film guys as they are an excellent, small rangefinder and make some great pictures.

Here it is next to my next smallest camera, a black Minolta 7S II, another collectors item. These are both dwarfed by full size 35mm SLR's

By the way, those squares on the table are only 1" x 1", just to give you an idea of how small these are.

I keep meaning to shoot more with this lens, the Soligor 20mm I picked up a long while back. It's a little soft, extreeemely flare-prone, a little beat up, and its defocused-area rendering is completely bananas at times..... And yet it's so small for its length (nearly 1/2 the size of the SMC equivalent) and interesting that it is kind of a charmer. This was from nearly a year ago.

Pentax MX, Ektar100...

Nice! My only 20 mm I have is the Flektogon 20mm f2.8, very nice lens for Praktica B bayonet, here you can see in action in a rainy day:

Here in a better day:

I still have to learn how to use at its full potential like all the other wide lenses I have, namely a K24mm f2.8:

And a Nikkor 24 mm f2.8:

Couple of test shots from the above Olympus XA.

Tri-X developed on Pyrocat MC for 8.5 minutes. Think I might like HC110 better for 35mm Tri-x

Normally I don't like boats tied up at the dock as a subject matter, unless there dirty fishing boats Kinda like a bird in a cage. But this is nice with the converging perspective lines the docks make and all those masts are like a forest. Those clouds have a really nice 3d quality that are just floating there. The plane is a nice touch, I'm glad you didn't try to emphasize it in the composition and just let it be part of the scene. I'm gonna rethink marinas, and we got lots of em'. Very nice shot.

A scan of an 8x10 photo print that I made in the darkbathroom last night. A split grade process. Exposed for 45 seconds with a #5 filter then another 45 seconds with a #3 filter and dodged the bokeh with my hands then another 10 seconds of burn with no filter on the front of the shirt. This was the sixth print and I think I could do more in terms of improvement in tone. The top of the easel was a little out of alignment for one. May a different aperture for the highlights. I was just goofing around in the yard with a teleconverter. This was around 5 meters distance.

Canon A-1, 75-200mm, 2x-B extender, Ilford HP5 400, Omega B-22 @ F11, Ilford miltigradeIV paper, Epson V550.

My first foray into into infrared. These were all shot at 1/15th at f2.8. I tried f16 and bracketed 2,4 & 8 seconds but those were a little muddy. f2.8 worked out a little better. The 645's meter wanted 1/8th but I bracketed and 1/15th turned out better. This was midday yesterday, pretty hot and bright but there is a brewpub next door so I brought my growler

Pentax 645, 45mm, Ilford SFX 200, f2.8 @ 1/15th

orange trees in the fore live oaks in the distance.

Another orange tree to the left. I guess that pole falls into the 8ish% of the frame my viewfinder doesn't see.

Which filter did you use? Looks like magic. Didn't know SFX was this good into the infrared zone.
A generic brand that claims to be 720nm. The label just says "ICE"

I can't believe I still haven't shot any IR film!

Great job and thanks for the reminder!
