BTW how did you scan these shots - the colours are very pleasant! Their quality resembles somehow the scans I got once from a Jessops back in 2009.. (making a mental note to myself: need to find that roll and re-scan some of the better shots )
You should ask Boots...I go there, I drop the rolls and the day after they give me 7X5 prints and CDs for £8.50.
To be honest I think they do a decent work but their minilab ALWAYS cuts me part of the frames because it's not optimised for 24x36mm, this is especially true for my Nikon F2 that has a full size viewfinder.
For instance the neg of this pic:
Clearly shows the nose of the car is completely and it's not slightly tilted like on the scans.
Same thing for this Porsche:
The "butt" of the car is not cropped on the negative.
Having said that they are kind and the price is honest...so in the end the quality of the colour is merit of the Takumar in the previous images and in the ones above of the Soviet Helios 81N that is a standard lens I rate better than the Nikkor 50mm f1.8 and f2, the colours it gives are absolutely fantastic.
The Tak IMO is a slightly warm lens because of the thorium rear element, you can especially see in the RR pic that has been taken indoor so under tungsten lights. I also used a Pentax skylight filter but perhaps for this lens in the future I'll use a more neutral anti UV.
