Here's a possibly better example.
The upper frame is a 6x7 Velvia RVP slide, shot with a 200mm lens. The lower image is 35mm Kodachrome slide, shot with a 90mm lens.
When both are viewed at the same magnification (from original), the apparent detail and tonal quality is about the same.
Nice shots, though to my eye the tonal quality is superior on the 120. You're making it hard for me to sell my medium format equipment, sir.

Why on Earth would you sell your medium format equipment?

To buy other medium format equipment!

And more lights.

My first shots in medium format have been disappointing...I used an old Super Ikonta III and most of the shots came overlapped and in any case the frame was irregular, plus out of 18 exposures I just got 9 (for 3 of them I assume I made an error in the exposure), so I couldn't make shots as good as Colton.

The lens is a Novar and the film XP2, I was thinking about getting another folder like the Iskra but I'm not totally sure at this point.

You did better than me. My first time out with the Ikonta C 6x9, I didn't advance the film far enough. Just till I saw the red dot, and forgot to look in the window. The result was twelve or more images all over lapping. They were mostly shots in a forest so it looks like one long negative with nothing but trees.

The Super Ikonta has a frame spacing issue due (I think) to it being designed for older style spools that had a slightly narrower thicker shaft.
My friend has a Super Ikonta IV and he has an easy trick that basically solves this problem.
Take a yellow Post-It, cut it the width of the film, then when you're loading film, right after you get the paper leader started on the take-up spool, stick the Post-It onto the paper right at the spool, then wind till the Start arrow lines up, close the back, and proceed as normal.

The Super Ikonta III and IV are great cameras, but the film advance/transport is touchy and can be problematic, so make sure you do things in the correct sequence, and don't try to force anything.

Gracias. I *just* missed the edge of the sign... Darn parallax. I'm a rangefinder newbie.

That gives it a slight Eggleston quirkiness that works
