A couple from my P3n, on Ultrafine 100 Dektol process
Used a Sears 135mm f2.8 portrait lens.

AND a shot from same camera on Ultrafine 400 and Caffenol-C process

For my next trick, I plan on using D-76. I am looking to find a less grainy inexpensive film/dev combo.
Ultrafine seems to be the least expensive film option, I just want to find a better dev option.

Some lab scans of Portra 160 taken with the DA40XS at a local amusement park.

Hmm, I feel now that I should have cropped the coaster out of the background in the swing picture. And I know the sky color is different in all of them...went with what felt right at the time, I guess. More of a seat-of-the-pants type PP approach. Often envious of those who have a more considered method, but hey, this is just for my enjoyment! (And hopefully some of your enjoyment as well...)

Another one with the Neopan 400.

Still don't like the film.
I had good luck with Neopan 400 while it was still available. All of the below were processed in Edwal FG7* (1+15) and exposed at EI 800.

All with the Kiev 4A and Kiev Helios-103 53/1.8.

Steve

* sadly no longer available wonderful developer...

I had one of those for a long while - not sure what I did with it. Was a fun one to break out now and then.
Dang good looking images for as cheap as the thing was.

Found a bunch of shots I'd forgotten about from a Vancouver Island trip a couple years ago. This was with MX and 31m I think... on Portra 160 but I desaturated it in LR - thought it nicer in monochrome.

and also some ducks.

I have all of these marked as Portra 160 but they really look like Superia to me. I should dig out the negs and check.

That grain definitely looks more Superia than Portra, at least to my untrained eye.

The first looks like desaturated Portra (to me), not sure about the second one - looks underexposed with a lot of digital noise-reduction in the scanning process?
