that one was from 1993, I think - don't think that view has changed much though

Nice! Interesting siding... You do make me feel like I'm missing a lot of opportunities around me here.

Film Photography Project imports it and rolls it for sale on their webstore: 35mm Color - Svema Color 125 Film! (Single Roll) | Film Photography Project
6bucks for 24exp 135 rolls and they also have 100ft bulk available which is what I just bought after trying two of the pre-rolled.

See above.

Re: Svema Color 125 - I'm not really certain what the actual pedigree of the stuff is. It is certainly a C-41 process and not an old CD1 or CD2 stock. Likely some kind of rebrand but FPP hasn't explicitly stated the source.
There was a thread on APUG I found a while back that got into the subject: Svema Color 125 @ FPP | APUG.ORG
Short story for me is I don't really care. It's good stuff, from a good bunch of folks at FPP, it's really quite affordable and the colors are unique with a wonderfully fine grain. So, I just keep shooting it happily.

A few shots from last fall - it takes me a while to accumulate 36 exposures.

These were shot on Velvia 50, using my KX with a SMC M50/1.4

The first one was right from Dwayne's scan result. The last three I used the Elements levels tool to tweak the lighting a bit.

cheers,
Fred

Before I left Flickr I used to belong to a group which had a day a month when you had to shoot an entire roll. Didn't matter with what. Once it was developed you created an album with all the images, and then posted a couple of your favourites to a thread. Perhaps we could start something like that here? A sort of film version of the "Single in... " or "Daily image..." challenges which tend to suit digital more than film. What do folks think?
