Originally posted by cooltouch Hey Longbow, I've got a Unicolor kit sitting here -- haven't mixed the chems yet -- and a pile of exposed rolls of C-41, so this is something I've got to get around to soon. I'm curious, though -- do you feel your results, color-wise, are true to life? The colors seem to be a bit muted to me. But I'm not familiar with these flowers, so I may be off base.
Also, a question -- would you care to share your technique? As in, what you used for temperature control, what temperature(s) and times you used? How many rolls you developed? One of the members here -- don't remember who it is, offhand -- stated that he's gotten an impressive number of rolls developed from just the small 1-liter kit. -- which is the one I have. I'm hoping to duplicate his feats, since I have about 15 rolls I need to develop.
The reds seem to be off a little bit, the other colors are good. Don't know if it's the scanner or maybe the water temp dropped too much during development. I'd forgot to put the tank back into the water bath in between inversion cycles the first 2 mins. But being my first try, don't know, hopefully someone with more experience can give a opinion.
Just followed the instructions, watch a few videos online and read others experience here and on the web before trying it - lots of information out there. Used a water bath to maintain temp, getting a good easy to read thermometer is highly recommended. Got the chemicals stored in a black tub with a lid in a cool dark place, with the air purged from the developer & blix bottles, so hope to get many rolls out of it - we'll see.
Originally posted by Jonathan Mac I like these results. Good shots and nice & sharp. I recently got an M 35/2.8 and while it doesn't get too much use due to having the f/2 version also, it's a very good lens and I like it a lot.
Thanks
It's a very good lens, got mine from KEH rated EX+ - $159, well worth it as it seems to be in the same league as my FA Ltds. As a side note, the FA43's hood works on the M35 perfectly - got one on order for it.
