Yeah, well, that's kind of what I do. I have file boxes with hanging file folders that I label according to content, and then I store my slides and negatives in these folders, sorted according to subject. If I want to view a subject as an "album," I just pull out that subject's file folder and browse through the slides in their sleeves with a loupe handy, in case I want to view any more close-up. Most of my slides I've assigned unique file numbers to. Eventually I hope to build a master database of all my film images, so I can keep track of them more easily.

Slightly late on this one, but re: Superia 400, I find it's better to set the camera's meter to 500ISO. I don't know if it has something to do with the emulsion's 'true' sensitivity but slight underexposure gives it a little more bite and stops the grain from being quite so distinctive. That said, I do find Kodak Ultramax to be a slightly more satisfying 400ISO colour negative.

Superia 400 at 500, MZ-10, A50/2.8 Macro, Epson V550 scan

Kodak Ultramax, Super A, K55/1.8, Epson V550 scan
These do look good. I understand slight overexposure is best for colour C41 film so I'm surprised to see such fine grain from slightly under-exposed ISO 400 film.

Here's my favourite shot from a roll of 645 Reala scanned yesterday. Shot in Paris with the Pentax 645 and 75mm lens.

So, today I finished a roll of Ektar and quickly had it developed. I got the negatives back and they look very very thin.
Well, long story short, I think I accidentally had my Contax set to ISO 640 for the entire roll.
Surprisingly, I got fairly decent images...

dsmithhfx: I think that's the first photograph of yours in that I haven't immediately recognized in a while.1 Where was it shot?

1. I'm honestly surprised to have never spotted myself in any of your photos. We seem to frequent many of the same areas.

Thank you both! g026r: It was shot from my balcony in Scarborough looking east towards Pickering. I have posted several balcony shots here and will probably post more in future -- let me know when it becomes tedious.

Well you seem to mostly shoot 'downtown', I don't really get down there with any frequency, maybe every three or four months (if that). It's certainly a subject-rich environment!

This was in Broadview station during the big rush-hour service interruption in March (?) that was attributed to a fire investigation at the time, but we later learned was actually due to a bomb threat.

After debarking from an excruciatingly slow shuttle bus at Main and walking all the way to Broadview, it took me about a half hour to get from top of the stairs to the platform, where, it turned out, trains had already been running through from Kennedy. Shot with my trusty stylus epic (see, I may envy MF, but I don't want to carry it around ).
