I quite like it for many purposes. It's nice and saturated. Not sure if I've tried Superia in a long time but I may pick up a roll or two and compare them.
Pretty sure fuji discontinued marketing superia 800, maybe they sold remaining stocks to lomo. I used to shoot lots of it @ iso 560, but in truth I think superia 400 is the better film in nearly all respects: better latitude, more natural colours, much less grain.

Superia 800 is definitely still available in Japan and the UK, if that helps. Here's some I had developed today. I have, however, been using mostly S400 since I got here, with Fujicolor 100 and S800 taking up the slack when it's too light or too dark.
Shot in the Pentax MZ-6 with the Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 (an underrated lens in my humble opinion)

Cats rule!

(Since you have been living in Japan, have you noticed how they are obsessed with cats? I was surprised at all the "cat" stuff we saw all over the country and the numerous cat cafes/petting places)

Normandy Beach

Normandy in june gives you wonderful light. And that's what this C41 film needs, lots of light.

It's still available at B&H and I can find it locally at Wal-Mart. Never cared for it much personally, might have been better if I shot slower too?

Bottling line at Argyle Winery, Oregon. YashicaMat, expired Portra 400(?)NC

Downtown Portland, same as above

I'm heading to Mexico in 2 weeks with my YashicaMat, Olympus 35RD, and Olympus XA with a bunch of Provia 100F 120 and Ektar 100 35mm.

Yeah, shooting it slower makes it almost as good as superia 400.
