St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica

Magnificent structure.
Thanks for answering my query I thought it might be St. Michael's

Yes I agree from what I've seen in you photo and from seeing it on TV it is truly a magnificent structure both inside and out even though I've never visited the church it self. A good excuse to bring a camera with me to Mass if I ever get the opportunity to do so.

It would be nice if you would cross post the photo and any other photos of the church you may have to the "Let's See Churches" thread of this forum (I think I have the Thread name right)

I respect your intentions, however I am not really interested in subject genres or cross-posting to them. Plus I don't really have very many "church" pictures as such (just don't get me started on graveyards).

Regrettably, the fantastic St. George's Greek Orthodox church we visited just up the street from St. Michaels's during Doors Open did not allow any photography.

The one by the hospital? I've never been inside; it looks gorgeous.

It's the railroad bridge over the Crooked River, near Smith Rock on Hwy 97.

Peter Skein Ogden Park on the west side of the highway. It is a long way to the bottom of the canyon.

I love the sound this little camera makes when I press the shutter. And this "walk around"
lens works well for street photography. I bought this little guy new back in the early 80's.

That was actually what I was thinking of (the automobile bridge, not the railroad bridge). For some reason I thought it was on Highway 26. I don't think I ever noticed the RR bridge.

Yes, scary place, with a dark history.
Here's the railroad bridge, taken from the old Hwy bridge.
