Originally posted by cooltouch I have some Rollei Redbird resting quietly in my freezer, wondering how I should use it.
I'm unfamiliar with the term "reverse-rolled." Can somebody explain this to me, or point me to a reference? I tried google, and all I got were hits on "reverse rolling" window film.
Reverse rolling refers to rerolling (in a darkroom etc.) 35mm film so that when you load it into the camera the emulsion ends up against the pressure plate. That way, when you expose it, the has to go through the film base before being recorded. Essentially you are using the film base as a filter.
I've wondered if just using a red filter would give basically the same results...
