Was inspired when I saw a fellow Pentaxian post some of his film shots. Hence decided to post some from my collection .

A nice set with very nice colours, I particularly like the one of the road crew.

I'm moving (slowly) back to film, there is something about it that I can't define that digital does not have and I've sufficient working camera bodies and lenses acquired over the last 50 years or so to indulge myself in both systems.
Thanks.

For me the difference is in the ergonomics and simplicity of the cameras. Match needle exposure, advancing film by hand, etc. all scratch an itch that my K50 can't.

I agree that it is really great lens. The SMC/ S-M-C/Super Takumar 50mm F1.4 is praised by many, and rightly so, but I find that I get equally great results with the 55mm (F1.8 or F2.0 makes no difference).

Is there really a bad Takumar?

Well, now that you ask, I haven't found one, and I have 20 different Takumars so far ... ;-)

These are great. Awesome colors. We took our honeymoon in Nova Scotia and went back several years later with the kids.

Chris, those Portra shots are amazing! I've only used the ISO 160 stuff so far, and in one of my medium format rigs at that. But I've heard many great things about the 400 stuff, and your shots certainly show why. Gotta try some. To me, it's the closest I've found (with the ISO 160 stuff) to the saturation and sharpness of a good slide emulsion.
