Some cheapo Kodak 400 and AF 160 flash. (Which is really underpowered for anything serious, but was perfect for this environment. Plus it sits fairly high on the camera, meaning it didn't get in the way of the hood I had on the 24-50.)

Pentax K2.
smc Pentax-A 24-50mm f4.
Kodak Gold 400.

Superia, Stylus Epic/Mju, shot with 'accidental' flash (didn't remember to manually turn off the flash).

I'm sure the flash firing wasn't distracting at all. If he didn't make the shot, at least you got a good one!

Colton, I'm a guitarist, so I can relate to that shot. I'm a blues guitarist, so I can relate even more to that shot. What a couple of classics, especially that Albert King LP. I've got a couple of Les Pauls also, but I've never owned a Mesa amp. Right now, I own a couple of Marshalls and I'm happy with them. That Albert King album really brings back memories, though.

Anyway, great shot.

Thanks Michael.
I used to play guitar a lot, but stopped being able to about 10 years ago. The guitar in the photo (1978 Gibson The Paul) was my first electric guitar, bought when I was 18 in 1998 for $150 with a small Crate amp. About 3 years after that I bought a brand Les Paul Classic in Honeyburst finish. That was a gorgeous guitar. I sold that when I had to quit playing, but I will likely never sell this 78 The Paul. My daughter is learning to play, so I will probably give it to her at somepoint.
Mesa amps are superb. Back when I was playing, I had an original 1964 black-face Fender Twin Reverb which is an amazing piece of equipment, but is also huge, so I bought this Mesa Subway Blues to have something more portable.
Born Under a Bad Sign is one of the all time great blues albums

Yes it is. I still recall, first time I heard it, I was already a Clapton devotee (and emulator). And I was amazed to hear King playing licks that were the same as Clapton's but King was playing with his thumb, through a relatively clean amp, whereas Clapton used a scritchy-sounding pick, and was playing through a Marshall combo for that overdriven sound. But the licks were the same. Suddenly I realized that Clapton wasn't all that original of a player after all!

Sorry to read that you had to give up your guitar playing. I dunno what I'd do if I had to. Almost exactly 12 years ago, I suffered a rather severe injury to my right hand, which knocked my classical guitar technique for a loop. It's been a long, slow road back, and I don't know if I'm ever gonna get all my old technique back. So, I know what you're going through -- or have gone through. What about taking up another instrument? You know, something I do a lot of now is music composition. I don't necessarily play the tunes I write either, which I actually find very liberating -- no longer limited by my own abilities or technique. Just my imagination. I use a few different pieces of music software for this.
