After WWII, Dad bought a plane and started bush flying so this would be late 40s or early 50s. That is Dad in the middle with his plane in the background. Location? Probably Northern Alberta, Canada

It's very difficult to make out in this shot, but you zoom in the uneven portion of the top deck of this old piling (was once a railroad crossing), about 2/3 the way out where is looks gray and bumpy instead of brown and even.... Those are the most Great Blue Herons I've ever seen roosted in one spot. Ever. Easily 50 of them out there. Just chillin. Glad I had my binocs with me that day.

How do you know which lens you shot this with?



Because it isn't the 28mm f3.5, it must be the Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4...
