From a 3 element TLR to a 4 element.

I sometimes call the Ciro-Flex Model F, aka the Graflex 22 400, the Cadillac of American TLRs. I mean it both as a compliment — it's got a high end Rapax shutter that goes to 1/400, was the only American TLR manufactured with a Tessar-type lens, and had a fairly bright finder for the time — and as a sort of joke — it's got a heavy steel body that's prone to rust if the finish is scratched, and was easily outclassed by the coming wave of German & Japanese models.

(The Ansco Automatic Reflex would be the Edsel of American TLRs, by this standard. )

As for the film: I found this roll at a local show while digging around for old B&W films. Hadn't shot expired Agfacolor in a while, so I bought it. I now remember why I generally avoid the stuff — very heavy pinkish-orange cast and extremely low contrast, despite being not all that expired. Both of those have been adjusted a bit in Lightroom.

Double-exposure wasn't intentional. Oops.

Ciro-Flex Model F.
Wollensak Raptar 83mm f3.2.
Agfacolor Portrait XPS 160 (Expired).

Apologies if I've posted this before - because I post links to Flickr, I don't have an 'already posted in PF folder' or any such to sort through, and if you share a lot across different platforms, the old memory can't keep up. Anyway - this is my favourite from my KwaZakhele walkabout (which makes me think I might have posted before - just inside a shebeen, lit but the light coming in from outside, with the Z-1, FA 28-105 and Provia 100

Who knows how long the resident roll of Kodak Gold was in this Rebel G that came with a 5-camera lots I picked up a month ago. Didn't have any Canon glass so I free-lensed with the A50/1.4. A few of the shots turned out at least interesting.

Excellent! I love it - and this has to be the most "intentional looking" unintentional double-exp in history.

I always thought that label belonged on the Gowlandflex (aka "Mother of all TLRs"). I saw one for sale in a local shop several years ago and the camera definitely left an impression of awe. Imagine a chassis and twin lens configuration capable of addressing the 4x5 frame. With finder extended, it stood almost a full meter tall and might require a stepladder to operate. Gowland also made several 8x10 versions, but those never saw production.

I just looked it up. I am in awe.

(Not my photo, obviously. This one looks to be missing the taking lens though. )

I walk this ugly hallway daily... The picture does it good - you do not want to see it in person though.

Currently my most faved on Instagram, which means it's the BEST and most important picture I've ever taken. That's how it works now. It's the law.

Home of the "Burger Family"? I remember that from A&W, I think. Momma Burger, Papa Burger, Teen Burger, and Baby Burger if I remember correctly.

BTW...no sense arguing with Instagram. The next thing we all know, you will be the newest, up-and-coming social media influencer.

Get a cheap M42 to EF adapter and mount your M42 lenses on it. Don't trust the metering though, and don't leave the adapter on the camera when not in use, I suspect they drain the battery.
