An old hang-out of mine in Old Ballard. Some mention of gentrification above... there's hardly a spot on earth that's been hit as hard by it as old Ballard in Seattle. Only 1 or 2 hold-outs from blue-collar, scandanavian fishing days anymore, this being one of them. Every other place and most of the people have been priced-out for a good number of years now, including yours truly to a certain extent.
In the first one I love it how the old paneling everywhere, drooping in places, makes it so none of the geometry in the shot quite adds up... it isn't lens distortion, it's just how this old place is.
