While I knew they had that, I don't think my local shop carries it. Probably because they've been getting Double-X from other sources for a while now.

It's a nice film that I'd shoot more often if it wasn't for the cost.

38 years ago tomorrow, July 22, 1980, my Dad was on a Wien Air Alaska Jet from Seattle to Portland, when Mt. St. Helens blew her top again. The first better known eruption was May 18, 1980, a couple months earlier.

He had his Pentax ME, and was able to get some shots of the event.

This is the money shot IMHO. I love how the wing looks like it is flying into the ash cloud.

The last (I think) from my roll of plusx shot ~33-years ago in Old Orchard Beach, Maine on my Rollei SL35.

Was that the original stop-down metering SL35?

I really like the night shot. What shutter speed did you use?

Forgot to write it down. I know it was at least 1 second, but probably longer.

I figured it had to be at least that, but was curious.

Your photo reminded me I still have to run a roll of film through my Pentax 6x7 with the 55mm 3.5 lens I picked up several months ago.

Thanks for the inspiration

I'm really kicking myself for not writing it down. Especially as the difficulty in finding reciprocity failure calculations means I'm generally just guessing at night exposures.

Back in the 35mm film game! Picked up an LX from my local old camera shop by horse trading my YashicaMat that’s eaten it’s last three rolls of film and my Olympus 35 RD that looked pretty but never got used.

Score !
Great excuse to retrace your photographic foot prints and reshoot some of your favorite sights (Denali, Gold Dredge, etc.) to see how the LX performs
Shoot some Cheese Pizzas ? Meals-On-Wheels ?
All in the spirit of gathering empirical evidence of course.

Inside The Ice Museum should challenge the LX's metering system.
