Getting difficult to remember what I've posted where, but I don't think I've done this one - crazy ladies of Cradock, South Africa, Pentax 67, 55mm lens, Fujichrome Velvia50 (shadows lightened a little in PS)

Some mention of gentrification above... there's hardly a spot on earth that's been hit as hard by it as old Ballard in Seattle.
I totally agree. I remember Ballard from my childhood and youth as being tidy and well-kept, but definitely not a wealthy area. Many of the people living there were of Scandinavian heritage there were still commercial fishing boats at Shilshole Bay Marina. I also remember when it was noticed that there was a relatively crime free and clean residential area biking or easy bus distance from the city's core. Almost overnight, $50,000 bungalows were selling for nearly 20x that price and the larger lots were transformed to host multi-story block-shaped houses for the rich.

Sad

I'd put lots of money on that being Mirror Lake with Half Dome on the right in the background.
Agreed. The mountain at left center is Mt. Watkins near the head of Tenaya Creek.

Note: I would have added a few of my old Yosemite slides, but it was bad enough that I was three weeks late on my comment.

Reminds me of my fence, except it looks a lot more artsy when you take photos of it!

Thank you! I often think you could get away with more with film because it was down to the film stock not your post processing if the colours were more punchy than reality - not my fault gov' - it was the film

Interesting to see a picture from the Petri as I have one in my collection. A very solid build isn't it? Having collected over a hundred old film cameras, it takes a while to circle through them all, so some don't get used.
It does feel extremely solid, in that respect like some Soviet cameras I’ve used.

But then you use it, and where the Soviet cameras feel clunky, stiff, or imprecise, the Petri feels smooth and controlled.

That said, it took me four tries to get one with a working shutter... and this one has the Copal shutter, not the Petri one.

Your J-12 definitely vignettes less than mine. I pretty much have to crop the upper corners off from most photos I take with it, regardless of aperture.

Really? Are you using a hood?
I have two J-12, one from 1954 in LTM, and that Kiev mount copy from 1972 (I think) and the only time I have seen much vignetting was when I tried using a hood.
