Really? Are you using a hood?
I have two J-12, one from 1954 in LTM, and that Kiev mount copy from 1972 (I think) and the only time I have seen much vignetting was when I tried using a hood.
No hood. It's an Arsenal-made Kiev mount copy from 1960. I'll dig up some particularly bad examples and post them later tonight.

I have never seen an Arsenal-made Jupiter-12. My two are both LZOS (see below for factory logo) from the early 1980s in LTM and Contax/Kiev mounts, though it is probably safe to assume that the construction is similar to yours. The only time I have had issues with vignette is when using both a hood and filter in combination.

For those not knowing the LZOS mark (Lytkarino)...

I expect it's exactly the same design-wise as all the others regardless of who made it. It may just be one that slipped past quality control. (re: samples of my vignetting: looks like most of my images taken with it are on a spare hard drive. So posting them will have to wait until I dig it out again for something.)

I don't know if I've ever encountered a LZOS lens, though I knew they made them. Have seen filters aplenty from them, but lenses not so much.

Both of my Jupiter-9s (M42 and Contax/Kiev) along with the two Jupiter-12 are LZOS. The quality, IMHO, is a step up from KMZ.

Here's another of my grandfather's slides. This one is Ektachrome, from somewhere in Yosemite, from August 1965. I don't recognize the location, so it could reversed. I'm only guessing, but I think this might have been taken with a Pentax S2.

117.9 per litre for gas, not bad it's usually close to $1.50 here in Vancouver! (AKA "The highest gas prices in North America".)

That's in Feb/March. Surely higher now (I don't drive, so don't keep track)

Bell in Birmingham

At the Birmingham, Alabama Botanical Gardens

A gift of the Rotary Club, according to the writing on the non-visible sides.
No offense to the Rotarians, but I liked this writing better for the shot...

I thought I took this with the Tokina 20-35, but those lines are too straight, even at 35, so it has to be the SMC-A 50mm f1.4
Shot with the MX on Fuji 200, scanned by the local lab

And yes, I was overdue for an actual photo...
