Nothing special here...a few shots with an Exakta VX and Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f/2.0 and one with the Steinheil 200mm f/4.5 Preset. I was just testing the shutter with these shots.

Well the shutter seems to work OK. I never used an Exacta, it looks very complicated. Good for you trying it out.

That lens was a freebie many years ago.
Sweet deal - I did not pay much for mine either... it is an under-the-radar lens, doesn't get the attention of the 50/1.4's, but it performs!

I dunno -- I see a fair amount of humor in that shot. Cheap or not, I like it.

Thank you. I'm trying to make my stuff look more...professional? It's weird because I shoot Portra which is a pro-level film so I dunno. Obviously the problem lies with my shooting style, haha.

I'm trying to move into not just wandering around taking photos of things but having more intention and control behind each picture. Hence using my friend as a model here with a balloon.

"Professionals" do weddings, bimbo shoots and rugrat portraits, not "dude behind telephone pole".

I think it’s your film. It just isn’t doing the reds in the balloon like your other shots :-P

We are pretty hard on the balloons. Lost at least two out in suburbia. The grass was too sharp!

Cape Breton Island - Sheticamp Beach looking towards the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Possibly one of my favorite places in Canada. If it was a few hours closer I think I'd be going there much more than once a year,

Shot on my AE-1 with a 50mm f1.8 lens. Not bad considering it was taken on some expired Kodak Gold 400 (unknown vintage... found it in the bottom of a camera bag).

Nice. We were planning to go there this year, but it didn't work out... I guess more time to plan the trip

After acquiring the K and M versions of the 50 1.4, I’m almost inclined to believe the K55 1.8 is a hair better in rendering.
