Well, I sent off my first roll of the new Ektachrome today. I think it should turn out pretty well, we had some killer light here in Manitoba over the weekend. Also, I got paid a bit for a portrait session (3 bucks a shot, 5 shots). Of course, if the lab screws it up I have to pay it back...

Sadly, the portrait shoot had nothing to do with balloons:

I believe you're right. We went on a bit of an ancestor tour of all the cemeteries and managed to find one or two. I've got a side shot of the cannon in the pipeline, along with several headstones coming up.

Ilford HP5 (Expired somewhen around 1980) shot with my Topcon 35-L / Topcor 4.4cm f/2 and developed with SP-110EC.
Unfortunately, I lost almost all the roll due the dry tape of the spool which snapped. The film never rewound inside the cassette and I opened the back... Oh well, c'est la vie.

I recently picked up a Rapid Omega. It came with 3 backs, one of which was a 220 back. By luck, I happened to have a single expired 220 roll still sitting in the fridge.

The whrrrr-ca-chunk sound made by the film advance on this thing may not be subtle, but it's certainly satisfying. The shutters, on the other hand, are so quiet that I was frequently checking the indicator on the lenses to ensure that they had fired.
