Phil and Colton, I wouldn't be so quick to make that judgement on the new Ektachrome. Looking at your photos, to me, I think they would have benefited from about 1/2 stop less exposure. Except maybe for the last one, which looks about right.

I’m definitely excited to see the results of the new ektachrome. It looks more neutral and natural than Provia 100F from what I’ve seen so far but I admit that I haven’t seen much yet.

In my opinion, photos shot a "new" Ektachrome 100 could have looked better in terms of color. I hope the images will shine with a better scanning.

Fujifilm Velvia 50, Pentax Z-1p, Zeiss Distagon 35/2, f2.8, 1/45, scanned on Noritsu LS-1100.

Scanning is tough, but I think even with the subpar scanning the colours in a lot of the examples I've seen. In my own photos, the colours have looked pretty much like I saw in reality, especially in the transparency itself.

The professional examples from the beta test are obviously better scanned and look amazing.

Spotmatic II and Super-Takumar 55mm f/1.8 on Fujicolor Pro 400H (Expired in July 2007).

The Unicolor kit is in its 6th week, still going strong. I've flushed the hexamine stabilizer and used Kodak C-41 Final Rinse instead.
Marvellous stuff, everyone should have at least one bottle of this stuff under the kitchen sink.

When you have a roll of pretty expensive and pro-grade slide film on hand, of course you should take a bunch of pictures of a scrapyard

It just makes sense.
