Interesting bokeh, like it!

Phil.
Yep...The Helios 44 series lenses are known for their bokeh. I have three variants* and all three offer great bokeh and subject "pop".

Due to the way the mount/barrel is designed, the 44-2s in my opinion fit better in SLRs; without the use of the M42/PK adapter... a small gap between the lens base and where the adapter sits is visible when using M42/PK adapters (even the OEM adapter).
I am coming to the same conclusion with my MC Helios 44-3. I am thinking that a native m42 camera is the better choice and/or purchase of a NEX for use with narrow flange lenses.

This was my excuse to get a 44k-4 ... Oddly enough I like better the results I got off of a borrowed 44M-4 (with M42/PK) than my 44k-4.

The 44M-4 was a Valdai

My 44K-4 is a KMZ (just like this 44-2 - I also have a second 44-2 that is a Valdai)

It’s not blurred vision, it’s wine’s natural bokeh 🙂

Winter is a good time to dig through the archives scanning older negatives of when I use to do a lot of sailing. Conditions like this is only time I'd ever put that wooden handle on my 6x7.

Pentax 6x7, 105/2.4 I think, VPH 400
