Pentax ME Super with leaking seals, SMC 28F2.8 with Very Expired UltraMax 400....This ME Super was sitting in my closet for well past 10 years with a new roll of film in it that I never shot. Discovered it while cleaning out my camera closet

Here is the camera. Funny thing is, I remember taping it up to see if it would seal to make sure it did not have another issue; and well, I guess it does. Seems like yesterday but It has been at least 10 years in the closet. So I took it out last week.

Funky light leaks @jgredline, the film seems good otherwise though! What's your plans with that ME Super now?

Did a walk around in the city after work last week. Must be the first time in say, 7 years, that I have exposed, developed and then scanned a roll all within the same week.





Both are expired Tri-X exposed at 800 and developed for 1600 in ID-11 1+1.
Taken with LX and A 50/1.2.
Another thing I am having to re-learn is the development aspect. It's fun though

I bought an ME Super from a charity shop recently and replaced the light seals from a set bought online, now I'm worried. I shone a torch around the door on the first shot to show up leaks too.
I've a roll of Ektar 100 in it and waiting for the sun to shine a bit before I start shooting. Oh well, we will see in a couple of months or so.

Yeah, I'm well pleased with it. It's a bit kludgy to use. The film advance and focus are really stiff, and the rangefinder is a bit difficult to make out, so I estimate distance instead of relying on it. Film loading is weird too, you have to slide off the back and bottom plate. I just put a roll of Tmax through it, but haven't taken it down for developing yet.

I decided to send it to Home-Pentaxs
While the camera itself is not really worth anything, it is too me. I have some good quality lenses for it.
Nice black and whites by the way.
