Attached images are liable to being munged by the forum software. In this case, the version on Flickr has Adobe RGB as its color space while the attached file has no declared color space; as such, it will be treated by the browser as sRGB.

Conventional wisdom is that good practice is to publish Web content to sRGB with control over the process rather leave the browser in charge of coercing the image to a more limited gamut.

Makes sense. The attached image also looks softer - perhaps it's been compressed as well?

I have noticed that Flickr (the hosting site I use) applies very aggressive sharpening when you export at 800px wide, which is what I usually do for forums. This is especially noticeable on 35mm film shots where is sharpens grain.

But you're right, the attached version looks much softer than the Lightroom version.

Our County Seat is Bellefonte, PA. It's an old town with a lot of great, old architecture. The pics are the Bandstand in Tallyrand Park and the old Bellefonte train station.
