Nice photos. The second one reminds me of Tallinn...
Thanks, it is Tallinn.

I have noticed that Flickr (the hosting site I use) applies very aggressive sharpening when you export at 800px wide, which is what I usually do for forums.
Also, if you upload to flickr in at 1024px, 1600px for 2048px sizes in the longest dimension, they will treat you better. That is, they will scale down nicer ( not over compressed as much) than an upload that isn't one of those fixed sizes. At least that's what I'm observing on my computer.

For example, if I sharpen a 1280px image a bit aggressively and upload it, Flickr will only show a fixed 1024px image that will have jagged lines where the original doesn't. But if I upload a 1600px image that was also bit aggressively sharpen, flickr will display various sizes to fit the browser window and they are scaled much better. Again, that's what I'm seeing on my computer.

Hmmm interesting, I'll have a play and see what works.

Please do. I've been wondering if anyone else observers this or I have something set wrong. I've complained to Flickr saying why can't I upload a 1280px image and get the same features as a 1600px image. I got market-speak as a response where the justification for their design only makes sense to them.

An interesting deviation from your usual style. Any particular reason for it?

I recently scanned a roll of Bergger Pancro and I don't like the results... I shot the roll on my LX with a variety of lenses, mostly Helios 40, Primoplan 58 f1.9, and the 43 limited. The whole roll is pretty grainy and not very sharp. A lot of them look like some impressionist paintings. A lot of these photos were shot wide open, but I don't know if that's what explains it. This is the first roll of Bergger I shot in the 135 format, but my 120 results are nothing like this. Here is a sample. This was taken with the Primoplan.
