With the exception of the image at top (duh), saturation is way over the top either on the scans or in PP. Ektar is capable of handling intense color, but with proper exposure, processing, and scanning should be much less intense, particularly in the "vivid rust" rendering of tan and brown for the dirt, twigs, dry grass/leaves and stream-side rocks.

I usually expect something like...

I could not understand where you where coming from. On my screen the shots were not way over saturated, although it is true I did add saturation, but not a huge amount in PP. Your example shot looked positively dull. So, I decided to ;look a them on another screen, and yes indeed there is too much saturation on that one. Just goes to show one must be careful what you display and PP your shots on. We live and learn.

Yeah, computer screens are a big variable when it comes to adjusting contrast and saturation. On my monitor that picture is not too bad in terms of saturation. Less than most cranked up digital pictures I see. And there is a lot of red in the rocks but again another monitor and film variable I suppose.

The 50 Trioplan isn't quite as soap-bubbly as the 100, but it's far more affordable & it still has a nice character to it.

It might be noted that most horses will not knowingly walk onto such a setup. The Shetland that does is either well-trained or stupid.

I'm glad you got it figured out. I didn't intend the comment as criticism, only that I thought there might have been a problem with processing or the scan. Ektar 100 may show a tendency towards magenta color shift and/or red-channel "strangeness" (garish true reds) with over or under exposure, but not of the flavor I saw on your image using my calibrated monitor.

Missing people...I found this picture slightly disturbing.

Canon T80, I think I used the 80-200 zoom, Superia 200.
