Nice shot, but the model possesses a somewhat bovine appearance.
Funny that

An attempt at taking photos around my neighbourhood on the way to work. There's plenty of interesting houses, colours and contrasts however quite difficult to make an interesting composition.

I might do. I'm well familiar with the homeless and vulnerable people who were sheltering there before they got locked out and all their belongings got scooped out by a front loader.

There are no 24/7/365 shelters in my town despite the opiate and meth crisis, so the people at the very bottom try to do the best they can, and me and my coworkers tried to help them out as best we could.

This picture is a memory of that place, and a reminder of how bad things can get when you fall through the cracks and nobody really cares that you did. I'd gladly hang it up.

Must have been some of that Walgreen's Vintage-Color Plus (TM) film with the Advanced Age Performance Guarantee. From the cellars of C.R. Walgreen himself, no doubt.

Thanks Colton, I appreciate your comment.
Lately I've been trying to take photos in a similar style to yours - the beauty in every day life - and to be honest I'm struggling to make interesting compositions. This photo I posted is the first one that I feel is good enough to share.
It makes me appreciate how you seem to nail it so often.

Thank you for helping out the less fortunate. The authorities (or whomever made the decision to bring in the front loader) really ought to have more empathy.

I hear you there. As you do it more and more, you'll start to see the composition better and clearer.

BW scanned in color negative mode. My scanning software starts up with the settings from my last scan. It was a color negative and when I did a preview this orange monochrome was the result. I then added a vignette in post.

Fuji GSW690III, 400TMY, PMK Pyro

Like anything, it's persistence and practice right?
