More mono! HP5+, z70 and the Sigma 35-70 AF Zoom Master (I think). I thought this image was appropriate today given all of climate protests around the world.

A few weeks back, my father heard he would be let go after a career of about 29 years at the airport.
The only thing I could think to do, was go out and buy some film to capture at least some images in this place that's been so important to my image of him.
Luckily the airport press office was kind enough to grant me a visitor's badge for a few hours, so I could get some of the shots I wanted.
I hope nobody minds me sharing some of the results on here.

This one was shot on Portra 400 with the Pentax SPII sporting a SMC Takumar 55mm f/1.8.

I haven't shot Portra 400, but I have found Portra 160 very landscape-friendly. A recent test of Fuji NPS, also a portrait film, was less satisfactory. I'm not sure if it was the emulsion has trouble getting deep green shadows right, or because the film was too expired, or some of both.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your father, it's a terrible thing to be thought disposable after so many years of service.

Thanks, it's certainly not what we hoped for. Hunting for jobs at 55 will be probably be pretty hard.
Here he is on Portra 800 for a change.
