Final shot that I took of my father at the airport. The sun had already gone under the horizon.

Another one from Geneva, this time some of the local swans. I think they might have been hoping that I had some food (sadly not)!

I feel like gravel shots would be really good for computer/phone wallpaper...

Petri 7s
by Nate Birkholz, on Flickr

Recently bought a Petri 7S rangefinder, ran a roll of Cinestill 50D through it, very pleased with the results. It took me a while to find an example that was owned by a photographer instead of some random seller trolling through estate sales. The Cinestill has a really nice character, though both the 50D and 800T blow out highlights a bit because the film lacks an anti-halation backing as modified for still use. This isn't really a weakness for me, as it gives the film more character, but you do need to allow for it. I recently saw some shots of ocean surf with Cinestill 800T and the spray had "bloom" on it from this effect and it was stunning.

Here's one from my recently acquired SMC Pentax 55/2. Shot wide open, on some Kodak Gold 200 that expired in 2003.

The Takumar 55mm is by far my favorite lens family. Great shot.

Thanks guys. Yes the 55/1.8 series of lenses are superb, and often very underrated.

This isn't really a film shot, but a paper one. This is a three-month pinhole camera image from the summer solstice to today. It was taken using a "solarcan" which looks like a beer can, and has some photopaper inside and a pinhole. You don't develop the paper, just scan it quickly once you take it out the can. I was very pleased with this image. I have a six-month exposure on-going in the same location, as well as a new three month one to capture fall equinox to mid winter's day, and a third on the balcony at work to capture the Autumn term.
