George Bush Sr. was the resident back then.

Hello,

From the same recently found negatives as the White house a few posts ago.

X-posted.
From a quick trip to the Smithsonian Air and space museum in Washington DC back in 1992.

Bell X-1 First aircraft to break the sound barrier in 1947 by my hero Chuck Yeager.

North American X-15: The fastest airplane ever (4,520 MPH in 1967, still unbroken today)

Will eventually work better scans of selected images like these. But the film and the lens were not the most adequate at the occasion so I don't expect much improvement.
