I hadn't used film for a long time, so I wondered if this was going to work or how bad it might be. Here is what happened.

This (f5.6):

Going back to the car through the park (f4).

On the way back to the car, found this iris, although it was almost dark (handheld, wide open f2.8, low speed):

And this bridge is too small for the car (f2.8):

Got back to the house and he was waiting (flash, f8):

So, I went back to the store to buy another roll of film.
It looks like your trial was a rousing success. Good work!

Steve

Very nice picture with the red chicken coop. Love the color.

Also, grass in the foreground and leaves in the background are all especially sharp.
I haven't managed that with a 50mm lens. Did you use a tripod?
I cannot remember much about this shot from several years ago. The sharpness may be a function of the lens I used, the super sharp Pentax-DFA 50mm f 2.8 macro. I usually shoot at f 8.0, so the sharpness is most likely attributable to the lens and aperture. Thank you for your comment.

It's so strange to see the gate looking like that. Doesn't even look like the same place.

Yep Berlin has changed dramatically over the last 30 years. Especially areas like Potsdamer Platz & Brandenburg Gate.

Thanks for sharing, yes, happy anniversary indeed!
I haven't any film shots to share, but also have seen huge changes over the past 20 years of going to Berlin.

Moe, do you live in the area? I live probably 2 miles from that show and if it was the most recent show (prior the the one this weekend), I was there too, coincidentally shooting a few car pics with Ektar 100 in my Program Plus.

Small world.
