Kodak Portra 400 | Olympus MJU II
This shot reminds me of why I liked the original MJU/Stylus when it came out.
I was working in a lab at the time, and around New Years in particular, we had a lot of selfies on rolls people would bring in.
The people would generally have been drinking, often a lot, and their pictures would be badly cropped (no selfie mirrors then), out of focus, and blown out with the flash.
When they used the MJU, the photos were tack sharp, in focus, and perfectly exposed (though still badly cropped, of course)...

It was like an autofocus XA with a good flash...

I have to say I'm quite impressed with the focus/exposure on my MJU II.
The battery door of mine is broken (use a piece of tape to keep it shut), but otherwise works great.
I think I'll start using it exclusively for family outings with the kids.
Thanks for your story, Eric.

Mine, too. (Actually, mine's a MJU Zoom c.1995.) I think they all quit after a certain number of openings and closings. The rest of the camera still works just fine.
