I was out walking taking photos with my late friend's Minolta 7000 loaded with FP4 Plus. I thought I'd try taking a self-time photo balancing the camera on a field-side bench. FAIL! Oh well, never mind....

As I am pretty much unable to get out and shoot now, I spend a bit of time every morning looking through my archives for photos I never got around to sharing when they were new, or photos I didn't think much at the time.
It's actually become one of my favorite parts of the day. Over the past 12 years I amassed a huge collection of film scans (I made a point of scanning every frame on every roll I shot), and I enjoy randomly going through them and stumbling upon these somewhat forgotten gems.
I hope y'all don't mind that I keep posting these older photos...

Whether they're new or old, they're still great photos.

Some of the images I shot on a walk in the Hertfordshire countryside. Minolta 7000, Minolta AF35-105 lens, Ilford FP4 Plus, commercial dev and scan tweaked in Lightroom.

Not at all, keep posting. I'd actually noticed of late a return to your older style, by which I mainly mean fewer pictures of cars

It's a great shame you can't get out any more, but good that you can still enjoy photography in some way.

I am by no means a good "photographer", and I am not comfortable applying that label to myself, but I do thoroughly enjoy shooting black and white film.

These photos were shot on a Lomography LC-A+ camera. The film used on all of these photos is Kodak Tri-X 400, all shot at ISO 400. I developed the films myself and scanned about 90% of them on a Konica Minolta Dimage Scan Dual III, using Vuescan software.

Please keep in mind that I am a complete beginner, and I held a camera in my hand for the very first time this summer, so I only have about 1½ months of experience and absolutely no training. But for those interested in the Lomography LC-A+ for black and white photos, you get an idea here.

Very cool!
That you enjoy taking photos is by far the more important thing. Don't worry whether you are a "good" photographer or not, just keep shooting and keep enjoying it.
The Lomo LC-A + was a camera that I wanted for a long time, but never ended up getting one. I love the way that lens renders.
Is there a way you can post just a few images from the set into the thread?

Hello Swift

Thank you very much! When you see how many good photographers there are here, it can feel a bit intimidating to post your own newbie stuff, since I have no idea what I am doing half the time. But I have a lot of fun, and it's a hobby that I love, which is all that matters at the end of the day. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you did end up buying a Lomo camera, as long as you are conscious of the limitations, of course. It doesn't have a lot of adjustable settings, but the upside is that it is extremely small (fits in your pocket), and allows you to focus and take photos very quickly, allowing you to focus more on your subject than on setting up your camera. For the most part I simply ride around with the camera in my pocket, and when something catches my eye, I try to snap a photo of it.

I will post a few of my photos as you requested. Keep in mind that I have done zero editing to these photos. This is just a straight scan of the negatives to jpeg.
