I finally got around to trying out some Pan F. So far, I like it, but the ol' Lubitel seems to have developed a fresh light leak right in the middle of this roll (?). I assume I did something to precipitate that. Can anyone spare some gaffer tape?

Are you sure it is a light leak? I find that sometimes you get leak-like marks when using it in bright light, I think it might be the slightly shiny interior bouncing light around.

I have definitely observed what you describe with bright light reflecting off of the interior and leaving a foggy spot on the film. What I ended up with this time was a strong band of fog at the top of the image. Problem is, if I am thinking right, that should be the bottom of the camera (isn't the image inverted?) and that seems like the least likely spot for a leak with the Lubitel. I was thinking that I had damaged the light seal somehow, but maybe not. More investigation required...

You could put one of those tiny, strap-on bicycle lights inside the Lubitel and then put it in a dark room and look for light leaks...

That might help with the research...

I think I might have one that is small enough to fit! Great idea. I was going to load a roll of film and use a flashlight on the outside of the camera at various points to see if I could induce fogging.

Aren't you supposed to pull ahead before igniting the thrusters?

Heron's farm tree in the fog. If you look carefully you can see an upturned bicycle as the owner was attempting to fix a puncture. Ondu multiformat pinhole camera with offset baffles, Ilford Delta 400 film, red filter, 42 second exposure.

This snap from last summer turned out very trippy.
