Really nice. 8x10 pinhole is pretty hard core. How much "front rise" does it have?
No “front rise” just a single pinhole.

Thanks. I've seen photos of some LF Ondu's with three holes, so I assumed they all did.

Some of the film shots did blow the sims. away, but others were surprisingly close in appearance. That being said I am sure with a bit more practice with the XPro3 settings he could have got more consistency out of the Acros simulation. I may have to revise my earlier assertion to "the Fuji colour film simulations do not look at all like the films they are meant to represent". To be honest I would not want them to. I want film to have its own unique look.
I am currently mourning not being able to get Fuji Superior in any film speed in 120 format for my Yashica 124G. I loved shooting that stuff on that camera for landscapes.
It struck me that the sim shots could have easily been tweaked in post to look more like the film, and vice-versa. IOW the comparison as presented is pretty meaningless.

I have an Xpro3, and was all excited by the Classic Neg sim. While I like it, it behaves nothing like negative film. It blows out highlights and is very contrasty, which while is a look to its own, is nothing that colour negative film actually does. Interestingly, even though it is saved as a jpeg, a lot of these blown highlights can be recovered in post.

As for the B&W sims, they are very nice but too smooth compared to the real thing. Again you can do a lot of post work to them but then just shoot film.

Remember when all you had to worry about was your kid seeing two boobs pull a giant set of breasts down the beach? I do.
